Clean, simple interface
The source, audio monitoring, auto-stop, and primary action share one screen. Starting a recording does not require technical setup.
Chrome extension · browser tab audio recording
Pulse is a Chrome audio recorder extension that captures sound from browser tabs without the microphone or system noise. Record webinars, online lectures, podcasts, live streams, and music to WebM, MP3, or WAV — locally and in the background.
Reliable recording
Pulse does not keep the entire recording in memory until you press Stop. It persists audio to IndexedDB in chunks of about one second, so captured material can be recovered after an unexpected browser shutdown. Close the popup immediately if you want: recording continues in the background.
Why Pulse is different
Basic tab audio recorder extensions usually focus on one tab and one output format. Pulse records multiple tabs concurrently, keeps even identical URLs as separate sessions, and preserves independent settings for each. Choose WebM, MP3, or WAV before capture: audio is encoded and persisted while recording, avoiding a long conversion wait after you press Stop.
Key advantages
The source, audio monitoring, auto-stop, and primary action share one screen. Starting a recording does not require technical setup.
Pulse Pro can silence the tab for you while continuing to capture its audio stream.
Pulse Pro records any number of tabs concurrently. Every source remains a separate session with its own timer and settings.
Start immediately or after a short delay, giving you time to launch a video, live stream, or presentation.
Pulse Pro pauses capture during sustained silence and keeps a pre-roll so returning audio is not clipped.
Free includes preset intervals. Pro accepts a precise custom stop time from 1 minute to 24 hours.
One-second chunks remain in IndexedDB and can be recovered after Chrome closes, crashes, or the computer shuts down unexpectedly.
WebM, MP3, or WAV is produced as recording progresses, without a separate long conversion wait after Stop.
Pulse Free and Pulse Pro

Build filenames from the tab title, website, date, time, and recording duration.
Record at the maximum 320 kbps bitrate. Pulse Free includes quality settings up to 256 kbps.
Set a custom automatic stop time from 1 minute to 24 hours. Preset intervals remain available in Free.
