StableHTMLFinder Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 8, 2026

This policy applies to the StableHTMLFinder browser extension and its problem-report form.

1. Local extension processing

StableHTMLFinder analyzes the structure of an open page locally in the browser. It captures page snapshots, compares reloads, builds a stability map, and generates selectors. This processing may include the page URL, text, structure, element attributes, and accessible iframe and Shadow DOM content.

The latest analysis result and diagnostic snapshots may be stored locally in extension storage so the user can open the map, continue working, and download a snapshot. This data is not sent to the developer automatically and can be removed with the Clear map data button.

2. Data sent with a support report

Data is sent to the developer only after the user submits a problem report and agrees to this policy. A report may contain the problem type and description, an email address or Telegram contact, extension version, browser and operating-system information, parameters of the latest analysis, and, unless the user disables the corresponding option, the full URL of the last analyzed page.

The user may manually attach screenshots, regular DOM snapshots, and a diagnostic page snapshot. These materials may contain page text, correspondence, names, addresses, links, identifiers, element attributes, and other data available on the page. Do not attach anything you do not want to transmit.

3. IP address and approximate location

When a report is submitted, the server receives standard HTTP connection information, including the IP address. The IP address is used for security, rate limiting, and approximate country or region identification. Precise location is not determined.

4. Purposes and recipients

Submitted data is used only to respond to the user, reproduce and diagnose the reported problem, fix defects, improve StableHTMLFinder, and maintain service security.

The form sends data over HTTPS to the formacode.dev server. The server may forward the report to an administrative Telegram bot. Reports whose attachments have a combined original size of no more than 15 MiB may also be emailed to the developer. Report text, correspondence, and attachment names may be stored in the service database, while copies of attachments may be stored in an administrative Telegram topic and the developer's mailbox.

Data is not sold, shared with advertising networks, or used for personalized advertising or creditworthiness decisions. A person may review voluntarily submitted materials only to respond to the report, diagnose the problem, maintain security, or comply with the law.

5. Limited Use

The use of information received from Chrome APIs adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Data is used only to provide user-facing extension features and related support, diagnostics, and security.

6. Questions and deletion requests

To ask about data processing, request information about a submitted report, or request its deletion, email contact@formacode.dev. Users can remove locally stored extension data themselves from the stability map page.
